Gregory Rose has worked, or consulted, for WHO, Asia Foundation, Management Sciences for Health, World Vision, the NHS and at least 20 Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies globally over the past 20 years. He has conducted needs assessments, baseline studies, mid-term and final evaluations as well as designing monitoring systems for multi-sector programmes in emergencies and in development contexts.
He has developed and delivered courses on epidemiology and field surveys in materially poor settings. Most recently he led the Health & WaSH team in British Red Cross where he also had technical responsibility for an emergency response unit focused on hygiene and sanitation.
From September to November 2019 he undertook a "rough sleeping" journey of the 1015 kilometre South West Coast Path for St Mungo's, the homelessness charity.
Greg is a registered Public Health Specialist and Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health.
Barbara Main is an experienced public health specialist with over 25 years of experience in health and nutrition, including 9 in Cambodia. She has practiced as a nurse and midwife in various contexts. Her many years' work experience allows for enhanced capacity building for planning and program design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Her skills in advocacy with national and local governments for improved care of women and children assists sustainability of program interventions.
Barbara has a master’s degree in public health.
Sitho Sim is an experienced manager and coordinator. She has worked successfully for the past 20 years as an architect and project manager for large builds involving 300 workers, and teaches 100 university students annually. Sitho is highly qualified in social research where she effectively coordinates and manages eco-friendly assessments, from proposal design and budgeting to independently recruiting and efficiently managing survey teams of up to 20 persons, organising logistics to remote locations. Data collection and translation (Khmer/English) for many project evaluations throughout Cambodia are always done with great attention to detail.
Since 2013 Sitho has served as Professor of Sustainable Design for courses at Norton University, and since 2016 at Western University. She has been Technical Consultant and Program Manager for installation of small and large scale solar projects since 2017.
Sitho holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Urbanism.
Sokhany Dosvanna is an experienced agriculturalist and horticulturalist, maintaining a homestead with impressive gardens. She taught sustainable and organic agriculture to over 100 secondary Cambodian students. She has led a club with 60 university students, organising, managing resources, and resolving conflicts. She has been involved in agriculture research, collecting samples and maintaining databases. In addition to assisting with project design, she has supported baseline and endline surveys as enumerator and translator (Khmer/English) for many Cambodian projects.
Sokhany holds a Bachelor of Science in Organic Agriculture (Guelph, Canada).
Jo Cox has been engaged in supporting humanitarian and development work, both in the field and remotely, for the past 15 years across Asia and Africa. She has worked with a number of organisations including Medecins Sans Frontieres, International Planned Parenthood Federation, the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement (Danish Red Cross, British Red Cross, IFRC) and as an independent consultant. A midwife by professional background, her specialisation lies in reproductive and maternal child health, but her experience has exposed her to muti-sector, health, water and sanitation and food security/nutritional programmes.
While Health Advisor the Red Cross, Jo participated and subsequently contributed to Field Survey training and undertook several midterm and final evaluations for partner Red Cross societies including Myanmar Red Cross and Lesotho Red Cross. Her skills include conducting assessments, facilitating training, designing workshops and developing evaluation tools. Jo recently moved to Asia where she works as a freelance consultant to accommodate family circumstances.
Jo has a Master of Public health in Developing Countries and is registered as a Nurse and Midwife in the UK, having recently refreshed her clinical skills.
Dan Sanger has a background in WASH engineering and has been a British Red Cross Delegate since 1992 and a member of Emergency Response Units (ERU) and Field Assessment & Coordination Teams (FACT) teams since 2002. Extensive development experience in Southern Africa has been followed by several ERU deployments worldwide with both Logistics and Mass Sanitation Module teams.
He is currently working as a freelance consultant and trainer for humanitarian agencies, primarily British Red Cross, with regular engagement in the Emergency Response Unit training pathway covering a wide range of technical areas (security, driver training, WASH & logistics) while continuing to respond to emergencies as ERU Team Leader.
Dan has a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Electronics and Post-graduate Diplomas in both Soil & Water Engineering and International Humanitarian Assistance.
